Yes — a current Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS Provider Certificate is required before enrolling in ACLS. The course builds directly on BLS skills. You must also complete the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment with a score of 70% or higher.

The ACLS course at CHCPTI Mississauga is a full-day in-person training session. Renewal/recertification courses may be shorter. You'll complete all required skills stations and scenario simulations and walk out certified the same day.

Yes. The ACLS course includes both written and practical skills evaluations, including simulated resuscitation scenarios. Participants must demonstrate competency in all required skills to receive their certificate.

Your Heart & Stroke Foundation ACLS Provider certificate is valid for 2 years. After that, an ACLS renewal/recertification course is required to maintain your certification status.
