Each individual mask fit test session takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes from start to finish. Group sessions for teams and facilities are scheduled back-to-back and can be completed efficiently with minimal downtime for your staff.
Your N95 mask fit test certificate is valid for 2 years, in accordance with CSA Z94.4 and Ontario OHSA guidance. Retesting is required if you change respirator models, experience significant facial changes (weight loss/gain, dental work, scarring), or your certificate expires.
CHCPTI follows the CSA Z94.4 standard — Selection, Use, and Care of Respirators — which is mandated under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) for all workplaces requiring tight-fitting respirators such as N95 masks.
Yes. CSA Z94.4 requires that you be clean-shaven in the area where the respirator seals against your face. Facial hair — even stubble — can break the seal, causing the test to fail. Please shave before arriving for your appointment.

CHCPTI stocks 3M N95 models 1860 and 1870+ for fit testing. If your employer requires a specific respirator model not stocked on-site, please contact us in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
