Our BLS certification course is 4 hours of intensive, hands-on training, which is ideal for busy healthcare professionals. You'll arrive, complete all skills stations and scenarios, and walk out fully certified the same day.

Your Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS Provider certificate is valid for 1 year. After that, a BLS renewal/recertification course is required to keep your certification status current.

Yes. The Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS certification issued by CHCPTI is recognized by hospitals, clinics, and healthcare employers nationwide across Canada, including Ontario, and it meets provincial healthcare licensing requirements.

No prior certification is required for your initial BLS certification course. However, participants should be physically able to perform CPR (kneel on the floor and perform chest compressions). For renewals, bring your expiring or recently-expired BLS card if available.
